Half Empty or Half Full (Num 11:1)

Do you go through your day half empty or half full?

Do those around you hear more about what's going wrong or what's going right that you are thankful for?

It always amazes me how two people can walk the same path and one can be all hot and bothered about the cracks in the road while the other is thanking God for blue skies and sunshine.

In Numbers 11, the Israelites had the half empty mindset. God was sustaining them in the desert where there was no food. But rather than thank God each day for His provision of manna, they continuously complained about what they didn't have.

  • Numbers 11:1 "Soon the people began to complain about their hardship, and the Lord heard everything they said. Then the Lord's anger blazed against them, and He sent a fire to rage among them"

Dear Lord, Thank you for reminding me to choose to be half full, not half empty. Thank you Lord for waking me up today and giving me another day to serve you. Thank you Lord for blue skies, sunshine, a warm home, and food to sustain us. Thank you Lord for your provision, your protection and for your love.
